1935 Brussels World Expo
Construction of halls 2, 4, 5, 6 and 10
Hall 5, the jewel of the site, served as the inspiration for the Brussels Expo logo.
1936Creation of ‘Parc des Expositions de Bruxelles asbl’ non-profit association
Aim: The organisation of exhibitions, of fairs aimed at the general public, congresses and other events.
1949Construction of hall 3
1957Construction of halls 7, 8, 9, and the Patio
1958Brussels World Expo
Construction of the Atomium
1977Construction of hall 11
1989Construction of hall 12
1993Construction of hall 1
1994Inauguration of the Auditorium 2000
1998Construction of the Princess Astrid Hall
Entrance hall, connecting car park C with most of the halls of the exhibition centre
2001-2007Renovation of hall 3
2006Installation of an access control system
